Introduction: Bio-fluidized bed refers to the use of sand (or anthracite, activated carbon, etc.) as a filler and biofilm carrier to improve the treatment efficiency of the biofilm process. The structure that increases the contact area of biofilm with wastewater and sufficient oxygen supply per unit time, and uses the boiling state of the filler to strengthen the wastewater biological treatment process.

Types of biological fluidized beds: Biological fluidized beds used to treat wastewater can be divided into aerobic biological fluidized beds and anaerobic biological fluidized beds according to their biofilm characteristics and other factors. With continuous research and development, many new types of fluidized beds have appeared.

Application range of anaerobic fluidized bed: Anaerobic biological fluidized bed is suitable for both high-concentration organic wastewater and medium and low-concentration organic wastewater treatment. Its organic volumetric load (based on BOD5) can reach 2- 10kg / (m3.d), because it requires less nitrogen and phosphorus nutrients, it is especially suitable for treating industrial wastewater with nitrogen and phosphorus deficiency.
